Why The Markt Haus Shoppe?
Historically, a market house /ˈmɑːkɪt haʊs/ served as a community gathering space where market goers could buy and sell provisions. These market houses brought people, food and agriculture together under one roof. Essentially, it was the heart of a city -- a place where you could support your neighbors and be a part of something social.
We strive to carry on this tradition for the tastes and lifestyles of today's market shopper by offering a unique variety of small-batch, sustainable and handmade American artisan goods. Small business owners are the backbone of our economy and we believe they should be celebrated.
